Libraries need to actively communicate and demonstrate their value, now more than ever, to current and potential users as well as key stakeholders.

The PPRG are committed to promoting marketing excellence, introducing new techniques and theories, and sharing best practice amongst our membership. Our interests cover the marketing and promotion of library services, creating user engagement, implementing effective communication strategies and developing dialogue with customers.

We:

  1. Hold our annual Marketing Excellence Awards to recognise and celebrate marketing successes across all library sectors
  2. Run a national conference and other seminars throughout the year, so you can find out more about new and innovative ways to promote your service
  3. Publish a quarterly eBulletin to share ideas and best practice
  4. Provide networking opportunities with other library staff working in this area

We welcome membership from individuals from all library sectors who are actively working in or professionally interested in marketing their services. As a CILIP member, you can join us for free as one of your two Special Interest Groups.
